At Vantage, we know that our people are key to our success, but they are also key to our clients’ success. Homeowner associations are a challenging microcosm of American life, full of debate, negotiation and compromise. If a management company and its staff are not prepared to be at the center of every issue facing an association and keep their balance, stay calm, and help to achieve a win-win for all involved, then they shouldn’t be in the business. Vantage is in the business and we like the business. Our staff embodies our corporate philosophy of staying calm in the face of whatever is coming our way. Vantage Community Management is the brainchild of owner Deborah Haskett, who conceived the idea of a professional company providing association management services in Thurston County in 2003. While other companies at the time provided services to associations, none were doing it as a single line of business. Research brought her into partnership with Andrew Barkis of Hometown Property Management and they began the company in 2004, incorporating in 2007 as Hometown Association Management.

ln 2011, the company purchased Andrew's stock and Deborah became the sole-owner of the corporation. Andrew retained the Hometown name and the company known formerly as Hometown Association Management changed its name to Vantage Community Management. Over the next 12 months, the company began the process of branding under its new identity and expanding its marketing efforts to the Greater South Puget Sound area. The company also moved to a new location in April, making 2011 a busy year!

With over 30 years of business experience, Deborah brings her passion for organization and customer service to Vantage. After 15 years in Bank Operations Management in Seattle and Anchorage and 6 years as the VP Operations at the largest association management company in Anchorage, Deborah has the experience to provide the highest quality services to Vantage clients. Deborah is an active member of Community Associations Institute (CAI) and has been active in the Lacey community, serving as board member for the Lacey Chamber, Lacey Rotary, the Citizens Advisory Committee to Lacey Fire District 3 Commissioners, The Network of Lacey, and the Thurston Olympians Swim Club. Currently, she is a member of the Olympia Master Builders in Olympia.
